Adrian Ducin

He graduated from the National Choreographic Lyceum in Chișinău, Moldova (2001) and the Conservatory in Vienna (2002). In 2021 he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, specializing in ballet choreography.

In 2002 he joined the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre (Balet SND), and since 2008 he has served as a soloist. His repertoire with the Ballet SND includes leading solo roles such as James, Gurn (La Sylphide, choreographer A. Bournonville), the Blue Bird (The Sleeping Beauty, choreographer B. Juldašev), the Blue Bird, Cavalier (The Sleeping Beauty, choreographer V. Malakhov), Harlequin, Rothbart, Pas de trois (Swan Lake, choreographer R. Avnikjan/after M. Petipa, L. Ivanov), Solor, the Golden Idol (La Bayadère, choreographer M. Petipa), Cavalier (The Nutcracker, choreographer F. Nault), Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet, choreographer M. Moricone), Ali, Lankedem (Le Corsaire, choreographer B. Juldašev/after M. Petipa), Crassus (Spartacus, choreographer J. Ďurovčík), Hilarion, the Peasant pas de deux (Giselle, choreographer R. Avnikjan/after J. Perrot, J. Coralli, M. Petipa), The Wooden Prince (choreographer T. Juronic), Svätojanko (Born a Little Bug, choreographer I. León), Real Time (ch. L. Timulák), 15 Heterosexual Duets (ch. J. Kudelka), The Four Seasons (ch. J. Kudelka), Duende (ch. N. Duato), Serenade (ch. G. Balanchine), Slovak Dances (ch. N. Horečná), Beyond the Border of Sin/The Brothers Karamazov (ch. B. Eifman), Esmeralda (ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo/after M. Petipa), Birthdays (ch. Y. Ivanenko), Warhol, Everest, Change (ch. M. Radačovský), The Four Seasons, Angels over the City (ch. I. Holováč), and The Concert (ch. J. Robbins). Adrian Ducin is also the creator of choreographies including Grand Polonaise (2010) from Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin; Par (2014) to Bach's Piano Concerto No. 3; Jaded Dawn (2016, music by W. A. Mozart) and Last Call (2016, music by F. Chopin); No way (2017, music by Philip Glass); Musica Istropolitana (2017, music by Alexander Moyzes); Eight Days a Week/Beatles Go Baroque (2018, music by P. Breiner); Bolero and Mare (2021, music by M. Ravel). At Fashion Ballet '22 he presented the choreography "Unlike", in collaboration with fashion designer Pavol Dendis.
